The newborn days are full, feeding, settling, cuddling, adjusting and somehow watching the days disappear at the same time.
You might forget exactly how tiny they felt curled against your chest, the way their fingers wrapped around yours, or how proud their big brother or sister was to finally hold them.
These are the things I want to photograph for you.
Not just what your baby looked like, but what this beginning felt like.
Most families arrive telling me they're not comfortable in front of the camera and that's completely okay.
I'll gently guide you where you need it, help with the little things and leave plenty of room for you to simply be together.
You don't need to know how to pose.
I'll guide you throughout your session so nothing ever feels awkward or forced.
You don't need to bring everything for baby.
Wraps, outfits and beautiful neutral pieces are ready for you in the studio.
Big siblings are part of this too.
We'll give them time to play, cuddle, explore and be part of welcoming their new baby.
Baby sets the pace.
Feeding, cuddles and settling are all part of newborn sessions. We work around your little one.
And you won't wait forever to see them.
You'll receive a sneak peek within 24 hours and your finished gallery within 7 days.
I'm Mia , a mum of twins and the person behind Four O Photography. I know how quickly those tiny newborn days become a blur, which is a big part of why I love photographing them.
I also know that having photos taken with a newborn, especially with older siblings in tow, can feel like a lot.
That’s why I’ll guide you through your session, help with the little things and make sure you never have to wonder what you’re supposed to be doing.
You just get to be with your family. I’ll take care of the rest.

My studio is tucked away in Hilbert, around 10 minutes from Armadale. Everything you need for your newborn session is already here, so you can arrive, settle in and enjoy this little bit of time with your baby.
Prefer to stay home during those early newborn weeks? In-home newborn sessions are also available in Armadale, depending on the experience you choose.
Can you come to my home in Armadale?
Yes. If you'd prefer to stay home with bub, my in-home newborn sessions are available in Armadale too. Some families love coming to the studio, while others would much rather stay tucked up at home, you can choose whichever feels right for you.
Do I need to know which newborn session I want before I enquire?
Not at all. Send me your due date and tell me a little about your family. I'll talk you through the options and help you work out which one suits you best.
What happens if my baby arrives early or late?
That's completely okay, babies aren't particularly interested in our calendars! We use your due date to hold space around the time bub is expected, then confirm your actual session date once they've arrived.
Can siblings be included in our newborn session?
Absolutely. Your new baby is becoming part of a family, and I want that story too. We'll include siblings and parents throughout the session, with plenty of gentle guidance from me along the way.
What if my baby doesn’t settle?
That’s absolutely okay. Newborn sessions are baby-led, so there’s time for feeding, cuddling and settling whenever your little one needs it. There’s no expectation for your baby to sleep or behave a certain way.
What if my toddler doesn’t cooperate?
They don’t need to! I don’t expect little ones to sit still and smile on command. We’ll let them play, cuddle, explore and come in and out of photos as they need to.
Those first twelve months bring so much change. From your tiny newborn curled against you, to sitting, smiling and showing off their little personality and eventually celebrating that very first birthday.
